Fork me on GitHub

Announcement

The oneye project has been discontinued. You might not expect further fixes and support from us. All community related systems are set to read-only mode. Though feel free to download and use oneye as-is or even fork it over at GitHub.

Well the GitHub is the only way people like me can see and know if there is anything happening. YOu should get into it (i just give the idea)
I am still learning javascript altho php is one i already use.

Maybe you like to contact me in private. (i also registered on your setup i am checking it as i write)

At least for myself it seems like oneye has died, only person doing anything seems to be lars on github. COmmunity is gone. Eyeos was great it grew to Oneye, but theres no alternative to it and its newer becoming known nor fashionable. I stopped using it for 6 month now, because its just not chaning anymore.

I will still leep a copy of the latest version.
altho, maybe if i got the time i will create my own from it but for now i am saddened by how far it has gone and how low it has fallen.

#9 Re: Help & Support » Registration Link » 2013-01-28 17:22:44

nevermind here is the working code (there was a semicolon too much)

<?php
$password = $_REQUEST['password'];
$username = $_REQUEST['username'];

include 'eyeOS/extras/extern.eyecode';
eyeOS_start();
if (um('userExists', array($username))) {
	echo 'User aready exists';
} else if (um('createUser', array(
//      'admin' => false,
//      'disabled' => false,
//      'email' => '',
//      'expirationDate' => '',
//      'fullname' => '',
//      'groups' => array(),
//      'maintain' => array(),
//      'maintainer' => false,
//      'mngUser' => array(),
        'password' => $password,
//      'quota' => 0,
		'resetPassword' => true,
        'username' => $username))) {
	echo 'User successfully created.';
} else {
	echo 'Failed creating user.';
}eyeOS_stop();
?>

<?php
$password = $_REQUEST['password'];
$username = $_REQUEST['username'];

include 'eyeOS/extras/extern.eyecode';
eyeOS_start();
if (um('userExists', array($username))) {
	echo 'User aready exists';
} else if (um('createUser', array(
//      'admin' => false,
//      'disabled' => false,
//      'email' => '',
//      'expirationDate' => '',
//      'fullname' => '',
//      'groups' => array(),
//      'maintain' => array(),
//      'maintainer' => false,
//      'mngUser' => array(),
        'password' => $password,
//      'quota' => 0,
		'resetPassword' => true,
        'username' => $username
));) {
	echo 'User successfully created.';
} else {
	echo 'Failed creating user.';
}eyeOS_stop();
?>

It doe not seem to work when i do not use the ifs it works:

    <?php
    $password = $_REQUEST['password'];
    $username = $_REQUEST['username'];

    include 'eyeOS/extras/extern.eyecode';
    eyeOS_start();
    um('createUser', array(
    //      'admin' => false,
    //      'disabled' => false,
    //      'email' => '',
    //      'expirationDate' => '',
    //      'fullname' => '',
    //      'groups' => array(),
    //      'maintain' => array(),
    //      'maintainer' => false,
    //      'mngUser' => array(),
            'password' => $password,
    //      'quota' => 0,
          'resetPassword' => true,
            'username' => $username
    ));
    eyeOS_stop();
    ?>

#15 Re: Help & Support » Registration Link » 2013-01-28 14:23:23

#17 Re: Help & Support » Registration Link » 2013-01-28 14:18:10

it should be enough to modify and understand the code (i red it often) still i do not find how i can disable the link but still being able via http://forums.oneye-project.org/viewtopic.php?id=297 to create accounts

Or that we should auto-generate one?

I'd like to have a generic key for all tables. Just to make sure we're able to change things as we like. The username should instead be marked as "unique" and "index".

Agreed. Names are no good Primary keys.

Also you think its ready to be pulled? Or did you pull it already?

#21 Re: Help & Support » Registration Link » 2013-01-28 12:33:01

still does not aid to my issue i need it to be creatable via an external script. so basically i just dont want people to use the integratet on since i want to implement registrations into another Program. (with different resctrictions)

#22 Re: Help & Support » Registration Link » 2013-01-28 12:17:04

Well i actually want only the link on the first page to not be shown.

#23 Re: Help & Support » fopen in SharedMemory » 2013-01-28 11:53:40

Hello,

Does setting registration off also dney all attempts to register a User or does it simply take the link away from the login?

Sincerly,
Peter

A quick update on things:

Firstly, I think I may have completed the coding for my abstraction-layer idea. *Tries to think if I forgot anything.* Apologies for it taking so long. Anyway, using the code I have just finished, it is now possible for the oneye root user to switch methods via eyeControl, with oneye taking care of conversions between methods automatically. Here's a picture of the interface in eyeControl (the mySQL entry is just a dummy for now) (bigger image):
http://s06eye.co.uk/img4forum/userconfig-sm.png

Of course, that's not much use without something to change over to, so within my fork on GitHub there's a branch containing a functional 'test' module that people may try out. It's nothing special, and the only difference between it and the default xml module is that it saves the files in a different (specially created) folder. Usual warnings about possible data loss apply, and it is not intended for use on production systems.

Now to start work on the mySQL module. I've updated the relevant page on the wiki with some specifics.

You can find the work done so far here: https://github.com/s0600204/oneye/tree/userConfig , and the test module here: https://github.com/s0600204/oneye/tree/userConfig-test . To try, just install as you would from Git normally.

Comments?

Why did you put The username as Primary key?
