I just caught on to a trick

I take back what I said about removing google from eyeNav, I have discovered a fix.

http://www.google.com/custom?q=&btnG=Search

This link will load into iframe and work as desired!

If you search for a youtube video and follow the link, the youtube page will load and play the video.

I think this workaround for google could be inserted directly into eyeNav transparently using a "var" command, possibly youtube (& other sites?) could also be patched.

Re: I just caught on to a trick

following along with this, I created a standalone google search app, but failed when trying to make the custom youtube app.  It's odd because I can get youtube to work as long as I find it using the custom google search, but even using the link generated by the custom search it fails as separate app.  If that makes sense at all.

Re: I just caught on to a trick

This seems to be related to the HTTP Referrer. If that's set YouTube's loading in frames as well.

Re: I just caught on to a trick

I keep thinking there should be a way to spoof the rest of the internet to believe that eyeNav is a full tab.

Re: I just caught on to a trick

nevermind my last post about youtube.  I forgot I was using eyeNavProxy.  Hasn't worked in iframe yet.
