eyeSurf

I'm trying to develop the "next-gen" browser for oneye.  I created an html/js app that loads into eyeIframize and opens popup windows for browsing. This gets around all the "security issues" of using iframes but comes with its own set of problems. I would say it's still very alpha. Even Facebook works but has some weird behavior that I still need to code around. I found some code that opens a popup window that changes the appearance of the iframe that launched it and can be modified into a built in settings "app". I am still doing research to figure out what is possible and what is not possible with popup windows. I'd like to make the popup windows stay on top, but there seems to be several problems with that idea. Either way, I believe using popup windows to surf from inside a webtop web os is going to be the only (hopefully) long term solution.  A lot of websites seem to be adding the noframe code and those that are already using the code are tightening up (for example- hitting ignore to get crackle to run in a frame is not an option anymore). If I get eyeSurf to work well, there will still be a need for eyeIframize, but not nearly as much need for the current eyeNav.  A better solution would be a new eyeNav that was smart enough to use frames when allowed and automatically switch to a popup window when frames are not allowed.  EyeNavProxy and Mouse would not be necessary, but maybe there could be an option to only use popup windows.  That's gonna be way over my head, I'm having enough trouble already.
