Iframes

HI,

Just a small (?) question :
From an app inside oneye i open an iframe with a php running in it.
As parameters i give some app info and the $checknum to the iframe.

From inside the iframe can I do this :

<a href="oneye/index.php?checknum='.$checknum.'&msg=actions_details_pannelButEdit">test</a>

and have oneye open up the routine called on_gites_actions_details_pannelButEdit ?

(the message I get is "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.")

Thanks in advance.

Steven

Re: Iframes

Hi Steven,

the request is done just the way you described it, but the result (which is XML, that - normally - gets parsed within the oneye environment) gets returned to the iFrame, I guess. That's the error you see.

Hope you could understand this explanation. Else just ask again...

Re: Iframes

Yeah, ok, I thought so....
But how do I prevent that?
I don't want it to be returned to the Iframe, but oneye to open a new window,
i.e. follow the instructions I wrote in "actions_details_pannelButEdit".
So, I have to "break out" of the Iframe there......and have eyone interpret my instructions as normal.

?????

Re: Iframes

You can either use https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/window.parent or https://developer.mozilla.org/en/DOM/window.top to access functions from the oneye system's scope.

window.paremt.sendMsg(checknum, msg, parameters);

Do you know how to use sendMsg?!
