Hi,
it's raining today.. So, I've decided to test a fresh installation of latest oneye SVN (7464) and found some issues:
launching System Preferences needs 3 to 9 seconds instead of 1 sec with oneye 0.8
installing an app is longer than before (a simple mod I've made needs 4 seconds instead of less than 1)
when downloading a file on the desktop, the desktop needs to be manually refreshed for the file to appear on it
dragging a file to the trashcan opent the "rename" dialog box
trying to delete a file from the desktop "via right-clic-> delete" causes an error message:"Error deleting file!
trying to access to files properties on the desktop via right-clic causes an error message:"The file does not exist"
in eyeFiles, when I try to open a sub-folder (e.g. "Documents") I stay on home:// . So, each file I try to download from eyefiles are downloaded in home://

I improved the new utf8 library somehwhat and finally its speed should be nicely comparable to the previous one. Can you check all you points and post a cleaned up list, please?
